Month-end close takes longer than 5 working days. You rebuild core reports in Excel because NetSuite's don't match the business. You don't fully trust the numbers without manual cross-checking. Intercompany or multi-entity consolidation needs manual workarounds. Management/board reporting is assembled by hand each month. Revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15) is partly handled outside the system.
